Within four days, teenage swimmer astonishingly shatters two world records

In recent news, sixteen-year-old Summer McIntosh has made waves in the swimming world by breaking not one, but two world records. Just days after breaking the world record for the 400m freestyle, McIntosh shattered the record for the 400m individual medley at the Canadian swimming trials.

Her time of 4:25.87 in the 400m individual medley surpassed the mark set by Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszú at the 2016 Rio Olympics. McIntosh’s incredible performance is a testament to her talent and determination.

This achievement adds to McIntosh’s already impressive week. She previously broke defending Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus’ world record in the 400m freestyle event. McIntosh’s time of 3:56.08 bested Titmus’ previous record of 3:56.40.
