It’s true that “60 Minutes” has a history of featuring controversial guests, including interviews with Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber, and Iran’s Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Perhaps the show views Greene as another controversial figure. However, it’s important to note that during Trump’s presidential campaign, the then-CBS CEO Les Moonves admitted that Trump’s candidacy was “damn good for CBS” due to the money it brought in. This mindset may still persist at “60 Minutes.”
