Musk himself addressed the logo change on Twitter, sharing a year-old conversation where a user suggested that he should “just buy Twitter” and change the logo to a doge. It’s worth noting that this change came just days after Musk requested a judge to dismiss a $258 billion racketeering lawsuit accusing him of running a pyramid scheme to support dogecoin. According to Reuters, Musk and Tesla’s lawyers have labeled the lawsuit as a “fanciful work of fiction” due to Musk’s harmless and often humorous tweets.
While it remains uncertain whether the logo change is permanent, it aligns with Musk’s reputation for using Twitter to playfully troll both his supporters and detractors.
Interestingly, amidst the logo change, the price of dogecoin experienced a significant increase of over 20% in the past 24 hours, reaching approximately 9 cents. This cryptocurrency is known for its volatility and was trading just under 8 cents earlier in the day.
