Our Methodology for Project Delivery

Our goal is to create a recipe for our customers that is understandable and repeatable.

ABIE’s software development methodology closely mirrors Agile/Scrum, leveraging the various ceremonies that are an integral part of the overall process, including daily standup meetings, Scrum planning sessions, and sprint demos. The Delivery Phase is the fourth and final pillar of the ABIE 4D Methodology, and comprises of the support, bug fixing, enhancements, and on-going maintenance of the application.
Once an app is in the app store, it will require periodic updates. Some of those updates are made mandatory by upgrades and updates of the underlying operating system of the phone. Other updates are needed due to discovery of bugs. Finally, minor (or major) enhancements are also sometimes needed to ensure continual operation and successful utilization by the target audience. The popular apps, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others typically update their apps about once a month. These types of frequent updates provides confidence to the users that their favorite app is continually being improved.
Bug Fixes — Sometimes apps contain minor bugs that require fixing. ABIE typically bundles several bug fixes into one release and updates the app stores with these types of updates. The update process is similar to the initial push to the production environment and app stores.
Enhancements — Major and/or minor enhancements are sometimes required after the initial release, to provide additional features and capabilities to the existing application. ABIE works to ensure smooth upgrades and transitions from existing versions to updated versions so users are delighted by the new features, while still maintaining the existing functionality and data.
Support —ABIE provides 8×5 support of the application using email, chat, and telephone assistance. In addition, if emergencies are encountered, ABIE provides 24×7 support on a case-by-case basis.
Maintenance — Whether a block of hours is needed, or a monthly fee is preferable, ABIE provides on-going maintenance to ensure the application is functioning perfectly, including usage reports, statistics, database backups, daily email updates, and other maintenance activities.
